I just wanted to share a few of my favorite photos from our Halloween festivities this year. It was so fun getting dressed up and seeing the joy of trick or treating in my little girls eyes. It has been a fun few days and a couple late night and that coupled with too much candy has left some grumpy attitudes around here. But they will catch up on sleep and recover soon enough. 😊
We hosted a pre trick or treating pizza party for the neighborhood kids.
And the pool of corn was a big hit!
Time for trick or treating!!
My husband had to leave for a business trip Halloween morning so he missed out on the fun. And we sure missed him too. But my dad and sister were able to come up and fill his place, and they even dressed up with us!
We had a big scare halfway around the neighborhood when my dad heard something as he was pulling the wagon and turned around to see that Mackenzie had fallen out! I was ahead of him, when i turned around and saw my baby lying flat on her back, in the middle of the street, in the dark, screaming, my heart stopped and I let out a blood curdling scream as I ran to pick her up. It was terrifying! She had apparently dropped a light stick that she was carrying and leaned out to pick it up and fell. And by the knot on her head, she must have fallen straight out onto the top of her head. She quickly settled down but it took me longer to get my composure! Thankfully she is ok but it gave us quite the scare! I carried her part of the way back but eventually got brave enough to put her back in the wagon as long as Kelsie could hold her. After she had fallen, Kelsie started crying and later said she thought she had died. 😢 So sad! So she was happy to hold her on the way back. She even said she was hurting by the way Mackenzie was laying on her but she didn’t want to move because her sister looked so comfortable. That’s true love right there! Even though the night ended with this accident and had me all in an irrational mode of panic, all in all, it was still a great Halloween night!
